Another day another probelm!

Today the stove that I have been putting up with until we move did the unforgivable. It set off the CO alarm. For months we have been working around the problem that it heated up slowly and not to the temperature you wanted while permeating the house with the intense smell of gas but this is too much. Finally the realtor we rent form agreed with me that we need a new one and they'll work on it. in the meantime I am haivng a dinner party for 13 people tomorrow. NOw What? Anyone know how to cook lasagna in a westinghouse roaster?

    I had to do without an oven one year. I cooked a lot of stuff in the crockpot. Sorry, no help on the roaster. Good luck. That's a bummer when you have company coming!

    I bet if you look online you can find a time guestimate for boiling the noodles...then the rest of lasagna is mostly heating nicely..sortof....

    anyway good luck..got an open fire? boil water over it......

    Or change the menue, bet they all understand

    I know there is a recipe out there somewhere for crockpot lasagna. Give it a google.

    I cooked for 6 months with just a roaster oven. I just usually planned on almost twice as long for cooking time as with a normal oven.
