karate kid

March 13th, 2007 at 02:19 am

Hey all who read my blog, I have a odd question that I don't think is forum postable.
WE received an invitation to a child's "black belt test and reception" OK, we plan on going he is one of my students in the Sunday school class I co teach with our Pastor.
My question is what would be an appropriate present? We do not give cash for any reason. I was considering a Christian CD or ??? Maybe Chuck Norris' biography.

If it is a girl I would buy flowers (this is often given at recitals) and boy I am not sure. How old is the child?

    This is unusual.

    I really wouldn't know!

    Quite interersting though.

Whatever that child would like regardless of the nature of the function, I would guess.

How about one of those thingies for holding all the different belts, it mounts on the wall

err, you sure you are supposed to give a gift? thought the clapping and go you was all that was expected at a belt thing....how about a video of the event....

I think a plate of cookies would be fine, with a lovely card. I've been to a lot of the belt ceremonies and its more about being there to see them than anything else.
