paypal money

July 24th, 2007 at 03:04 pm

I have sold several things lately on ebay and as a result have built up a couple hundred in my paypal account. I am not in the market for anything on ebay so haven't used any of it. We are considering buying a laptop for the house and may bid on ebay for one to use up the money instead of some savings.

Paypal's money market is paying 5.02% so at least the money you have sitting there earns a respectable interest rate.

I just joined paypal as well. Couldn't you just have palpal transfer the money from your primary bank account instead of using your palpal account?

The only advantage that I could see having money in the paypal account is that the person selling you the item would get it sooner.

Also, i linked my credit card, so that gives you some protection as well although some people don't take credit cards. I'm still learning this stuff as well. This morning, I linked another Email account that I have. Had not thought of doing that when i applied and realized that I would be receiving money from the 2nd Email account.

Various companies are starting to accept Paypal payments besides ebay. I heard yesterday that Southwest Airlines now lets you buy tickets online and pay from your Paypal account.

I sort of like the idea since you don't have to put your personal financial information out there to everyone you want to buy something from.
